A breast lift is the ideal remedy for sagging, droopy breasts. In the Bay Area, a breast lift is done to make the breast look perkier and more attractive. A breast lift is also called a mastopexy and involves the removal of breast skin, and the repositioning of the nipple.
Why Choose a Breast lift
Why Choose a Breast lift
A breast lift is often the choice for women with breasts that hang down loosely, and have lost their firmness. This is often the result of breast feeding, aging, or weight changes. The loss of volume and elasticity often make women feel unattractive. A breast lift will increase the fullness of the breasts, and also make them look rounder (click here). Women who desire a breast lift should have sufficient tissue, and only need to adjust the breast shape and size.
Women who live in the Bay Area, can set up a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, if they are contemplating getting the procedure done.
How the Breast Lift is Performed
During a breast lift, an incision is made, but the location of the incision must be determined prior to surgery, during consultation with your plastic surgeon. The placement of the incision will also be impacted by the amount of skin that has to be removed. A breast lift is usually done under general anesthesia, on an outpatient basis.
The procedure includes the removal of skin from the breast, but the breast tissue remains intact. With the excess skin removed, the internal breast tissues can then be repositioned and elevated, and this gives the breast a rounder, fuller appearance. The nipple is also shifted upwards.
Scarring is kept at a minimum, and the procedure is not very painful. Patients are usually fitted with a surgical bra that has to be worn for a couple weeks.
Women in the Bay Area often opt for a breast lift, (bay area breast lift) because it gives the breast a more youthful appearance.
